DM800HD PVR is the Latest in the Dreambox series, the first Linux receiver to have High Definition and Hard Disk capability. Its a very Powerful Receiver for Digital TV and Radio programs. Main features are a 300Mhz Processor, Linux TV DVB-C API to view HDTV, 10/100Mbit compatible Ethernet Interface, DVI Connector, plug and play Tuner, Brilliant OLED display, and SATA for use of internal HDD 2.5' and eSATA.
DM800HD receives conventional satellite TV and HDTV programs and stores them on a built-in hard drive. It is available with or without built-in hard drive. You can easily build it yourself without any problem with a notebook hard disk (SATA type) up to 320GB of storage space. DM800HD stores on a 120GB hard drive up to 66 hours recording in SD and up to 17 hours in HDTV quality. The Dreambox DM800HD has an eSATA port for external hard drives, only works if you install any internal hard drive. DM800HD even saves HDTV programs simultaneously to hard disk - with a limited choice of programs.
Although only one receiver exists, you can watch simultaneously while recording another channel. The receiving part of the Dreambox can exchange ideas, so you can use the device when switching from satellite to cable on. It can connect via network cable to a computer. To dub Recordings of the Dreambox to a PC to edit movies or burn to a DVD. Via Internet browser access from your computer to the receiver and program recordings from the office. Or look for recordings via the network on a computer. The built-in card reader supports the encryption system Dreamcrypt. It on the screen helps you step by step in setting up the basic settings you desire. The box starts with a connection menu where you can set the desired image resolution.
